NMSK II Pediatric Outcome Measures Practice Test

The PDMS-2 is designed to capture a child’s motor development across two broad domains: gross motor and fine motor. Gross motor covers large movements and overall body control (like rolling, sitting, walking, jumping), while fine motor focuses on hand and finger actions and their coordination (like grasping and manipulating small objects, and eye–hand tasks). The test includes subtests that span both areas—four gross-motor subtests and two fine-motor subtests—and it yields separate Gross Motor Quotient and Fine Motor Quotient, plus a Total Motor Quotient. So it assesses both domains, not just one.
